1 Samuel 8:5
and said to him, "Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations."
對 他 說 ： 你 年 紀 老 邁 了 ， 你 兒 子 不 行 你 的 道 。 現 在 求 你 為 我 們 立 一 個 王 治 理 我 們 ， 像 列 國 一 樣 。

Jeremiah 6:16
Thus says the LORD: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, "We will not walk in it.'
耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 們 當 站 在 路 上 察 看 ， 訪 問 古 道 ， 哪 是 善 道 ， 便 行 在 其 間 ； 這 樣 ， 你 們 心 裡 必 得 安 息 。 他 們 卻 說 ： 我 們 不 行 在 其 間 。

→有時候「老」不代表不好，反而會讓我們可以繼續保守在神裡。

1 Samuel 8:3
But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
他 兒 子 不 行 他 的 道 ， 貪 圖 財 利 ， 收 受 賄 賂 ， 屈 枉 正 直 。

→雖說未來的領導者有可能不行神的道，但是不要忘記是神運行在其中，祂掌管一切，祂才是王。

→像列國一樣擁有國王對以色列人很重要，對我們來說，跟周遭的人很像也對我們很重要。這是人的本性，但如果我們有屬靈的眼界，我們可以把神的道理放在跟從社會潮流之前。

Deuteronomy 28:2
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
你 若 聽 從 耶 和 華 ─ 你 　 神 的 話 ， 這 以 下 的 福 必 追 隨 你 ， 臨 到 你 身 上 ：

Deuteronomy 28:3
"Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
你 在 城 裡 必 蒙 福 ， 在 田 間 也 必 蒙 福 。

Deuteronomy 28:4
"Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
你 身 所 生 的 ， 地 所 產 的 ， 牲 畜 所 下 的 ， 以 及 牛 犢 、 羊 羔 ， 都 必 蒙 福 。

Deuteronomy 28:6
"Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
你 出 也 蒙 福 ， 入 也 蒙 福 。

→把神放在首位，聽從祂的話，我們在信心上會更堅定，也必蒙福。
